Sometimes i wonder if anyone at fifa even test played this game against the computer, if not then they might just want to leave this one to PES. Most annoying are players that never run to get a pass but just stand still until a defender runs from behind and steals the ball.
I dont even know where to start from, maybe for those that dont understand the game it would be fun, but if you know and play the game, it is just laughable.Football is way more than attackers strecthing their arms asking for a pass. Imaging attacking players standing still waiting for a pass to arrive and defenders running away from attackers instead of rushing the ball, they just keep backstepping all the way.
Fifa 09 is absolutely dissappointing and frustrating. the AI is non thinking, players have the ball roll past them and dont even intercept, the players are extremely stupid in some plays, especially in the defence.
football is not played that way. The active player change is so slow and players not in control never get involved in the defence play, the oppossing team just walks around them into the goal area.
Goalies are so good even with point blank shots, its unreal. Also refs are spotted dishing card for no apparent reason.Improve or quit.

This is so far the best game i have played.Of All that I played this is so far the most realistic of all.The Graphics and stadium sounds are beautiful.
I'm got addicted to this game for more than half a year and I wish the FIFA 10 could improve it even more.One thing I don't understand is why the PC version is so different from the Xbox or PS3 version. I tried to simulate the big games on FIFA09 before it really kicked off, such as the Barca vs.
I decided to buy an Xbox 360 just for this game.The first time I played FIFA 09, I felt that it was totally worth that I changed to Xbox platform. I've been playing FIFA series on PC for more than ten years until I heard that the Xbox version is much better than the PC's.
That's exactly what a soccer game should be like. The game is amazing.
The actions of the players and the ball movements are so real. MANU in the EURO champion final several days ago.
It seems the only same point is the title.
And using the same example, team B is really easy to switch, but to switch team A, you again have to exit out. Now though, you are taken to a menu where you can pick squad, formation, strategy, etc. This should not be the case. But say you want donovan to come back from team B to team A.
Other than never being able to score on 1-on-1's I think the gameplay is near perfection.Why do I give it 1 star. Fifa 09 has improved the gameplay immensely. However, with cup matches, league matches, suspensions, injuries, and fatigue, the one item you almost always need to see is your starting XI. You can split it up so you only look for Fw's or mid's and that works, but why should I have to do that.
This is not a complicated search, how does EA botch it.Lastly, for transfers you can quickly select what team you want the transfer to go to. If you are doing a season and have already set a strategy and formation there is no reason to access these again. So while before you could see this right before every game before, now you specifically have to click into it. And that's really annoying.Search function. Fifa 08 was not perfect.
It worked fine last year, why make it more limited this year. Also, this search does not capture players who are in national teams but not in any of the provided club teams. So you want robinho to go from team A to team B. Easily done. You want to search all players with ratings between 90 - 100(there are about 5). Well because the interactivity of the menus, the search function, and the transfer have been made into a huge clutter that slows you, the user, down:In Fifa 08, after you selected your team and kit, you would be taken to the squad, where you could easily see your roster and see if anyone is tired. You have to exit out the transfer window you have open and go pick team B as your 'base' team before making the move.
When you want to do transfers and want to search for players, your options are limited. Well were you could easily do that in Fifa 08, now the population pool is too big too search for Fifa 09. Transfers should be able to go in both directions between A and B without having to exit out. Why make it so much work.Maybe a one star rating is an overreaction, but the three items I mention get me really upset.
